Those Things I'd Like to Do

For a long time I've told myself that I should make a list of all the really big things I'd like to do. These things frequently require a skillset, an amount of money, and an allotment of space that I just don't have. My track record for completing things is not very promising either. Nevertheless I continue to dream that someday, I will get around to them. So here they are, in no particular order; Those Things I'd Like to Do.

The Hovercraft
I have been talking about for about six years. For reasons not altogether clear I decided that building a hovercraft was something I needed to do. I have looked over some sites and determined that if I had about $2000 and a garage, I would be able to order the kit. Once I had the kit in my possession I could safely leave it unbuilt, knowing that it's there if I want to do it

The Ultimate Space Combat Simulator
This is a grand idea on several levels. It would consist of at least two groups of people, 6 people per group. Each team would be in seperate rooms and one member of each team would be in front of a central control console and direct the actions of the other team members. I guess this has been done to various degrees in MMROPGs and the like, but my vision would be a dedicated location, taylored for this type of gameplay. All the software would be specially written and you could intergrate all sorts of lights and klaxons and what have you. I've purchased enough programming books to teach a first year computer science program, I just need to get around to reading them.

This Blog
Well, as you can see by the post date (1/17/2006) it took me far longer to write this short entry than planned. I started typing this on 12/7/2006 and finally got around to finishing it today. It's taken so long for me to write it that I've more or less forgotten where I was going with it.

So, with that, I'm going to lay this entry to rest and perhaps try again later.
